Where is NYC Total Health located?

Our office is situated at 224 West 35th Street, Suite 809, New York, NY 10001. We are easily accessible via the 1/2/3 subway lines, New Jersey Transit, and the Long Island Railroad. Additionally, we are a short walk from the B/D/F/M/N/Q and A/C/E trains.

What are your hours of operation?

We are open Monday through Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Our office is closed on Sundays. Please note that all appointments should be arranged in advance; walk-ins are not accepted.

Do you accept insurance?

We accept various insurance plans, including Aetna, United Healthcare, UMR, BCBS, Empire NYS-UHC, and VA Health Plans (VA Community Care / Tricare). Please verify your specific benefits before scheduling an appointment. For services not covered by insurance, we provide receipts with appropriate billing codes for potential reimbursement and accept HSA/FSA payments.

Are functional medicine consultations covered by insurance?

Functional medicine consultations are not covered by insurance. We do not submit claims to insurance companies, nor do we participate in Medicare or Medicaid. However, you may use HSA or FSA funds to pay for these services, and we can provide an itemized receipt for potential reimbursement.

Your initial visit will include a comprehensive consultation with Dr. Kang, where you'll discuss your health concerns and undergo a general physical examination. Based on this evaluation, a personalized treatment plan will be developed, which may include acupuncture and/or herbal remedies.

Do you offer virtual consultations?

Yes, we offer virtual consultations via Google Meet, Zoom, or phone. These sessions are ideal for those new to functional medicine or seeking to discuss treatment options from the comfort of their home. You can book a free 15-minute consultation through our website.
